Overview
CCL2, also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), is a β-chemokine secreted by a broad range of cell types, including monocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. It functions primarily to direct the migration of monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of inflammation. In addition to chemotaxis, CCL2 modulates tumor–immune interactions, influences cytokine expression, and acts as an activator for certain innate immune cells.
Key Features and Benefits
- Potent Chemotactic Activity: Validated stimulation of PC3 cell proliferation (ED₅₀ < 0.2 ng/mL).
- High Purity, Low Endotoxin: Minimizes background effects in sensitive assays.
- Versatile Research Utility: Suitable for inflammation, tumor biology, and immune regulation studies.
- Stable Lyophilized Form: Optimized for long-term storage and reproducible performance.
- Tag-free Preparation: Preserves natural protein structure and receptor interactions.
Quality Control (QC)
- Purity confirmed via SDS-PAGE
- Endotoxin level determined by LAL assay
- Bioactivity validated through cell-based proliferation assay
