Overview

Aminoacyl-tRNA Synthetase Complex-Interacting Multifunctional Protein 1 (AIMP1), also known as Endothelial Monocyte-Activating Polypeptide II (EMAP II), is a secreted cytokine with multiple regulatory roles in immune modulation and tissue homeostasis. It promotes monocyte recruitment, enhances cell adhesion, and exhibits anti-angiogenic activity through endothelial cell apoptosis induction. This recombinant form, expressed in E. coli, retains native bioactivity and is optimized for in vitro studies on inflammation, vascular biology, and programmed cell death.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Potent Biological Activity: Demonstrates apoptosis induction in MCF-7 cells at 10–50 ng/mL.
  • High Purity & Low Endotoxin: > 95% purity and < 1.0 EU/µg endotoxin for sensitive applications.
  • Functional Conformation: Maintains structure essential for receptor interaction.
  • Reproducibility: Lot-to-lot consistency verified through QC assays.
  • Versatile Applications: Suitable for inflammation, angiogenesis, and apoptosis research.

Reconstitution Instructions

To ensure optimal protein quality and performance:

  1. Centrifuge the Vial: Briefly spin to collect all material.
  2. Reconstitute: Add sterile distilled water to achieve ≥ 0.1 mg/mL.
  3. Mixing: Gently swirl to dissolve; do not vortex.
  4. Dilution and Use: Dilute with appropriate buffer or medium before application.
  5. Storage: Reconstituted solution may be stored at 2–8 °C for ≤ 1 month or –20 °C for ≤ 6 months in working aliquots. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Quality Control (QC)

  • Purity: Confirmed by SDS-PAGE
  • Endotoxin: Measured by LAL assay
  • Bioactivity: Validated via apoptosis induction in MCF-7 cells
